...I call my style and artistic philosophy Intuitive Subjectivism. My art grows out of a sudden perception of a compelling image that appears in my mind, as real and precise as a vivid memory. The image often combines elements seemingly unrelated to one another, but to me those elements help capture the true archetypal identity of the object or the scene.
In my interpretations I challenge the traditionally accepted symbolism of things, and I infuse them with very subjective meaning, strongly connected to my personal experiences, interests and belief system.
Through my paintings I create an alternative reality that is not passively imitative or impressionistic in its relationship to the world, but allows for an active engagement in its reorganization, in order to achieve the goal of a deeper comprehension and expression of the true essence of things, the way it presents itself to me.
